Sew and sow

I have been Sewing and sowing a lot lately.

Sewing for the shop and family. I made some Easter presents and I am working on something new for the store. Hopefully I can do a sneak peek of that tomorrow, or at least this week.

I finally have all the seeds planted for our summer garden. Today I noticed that many of them are actually starting to grow! I love a good veggie garden in my backyard. I enjoy the easiness of walking out back and picking what veggies and herbs I want for a meal, it's a great feeling. More than that though, I really love teaching my daughter this way of life...it's a little simpler and it will teach her to appreciate where her food comes from and in my family, it's all about the food.

I suppose next I will work on the flower boxes but that always is hard because I never can really decide what flowers I want to plant where....for some reason flowers bring out the indecisiveness in me. I just love all of them and want them, well, pretty much everywhere. :)

I'm also really excited about some new solar lights that I got for our outdoor patio area. I just hope that the bugs aren't so bad this year that we can't enjoy the outdoors. One can never tell I suppose.
